"During her visit to London, Rihanna stopped by “The Jonathan Ross Show,” where she received a warm welcome. The five-time Grammy winner spoke about “stalking” Adele at the BRIT Awards, competing with her female pop counterparts, why being single is “overrated,” and her foray into Hollywood in the sci-fi thriller Battleship.
The blonde Barbadian admitted to competing with her pop peers including Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. “It will always be a competition and that’s why I feel like women are becoming so dominant in music right now because we’re very competitive beings and we cannot stand to see another woman do better than us,” explained an honest RiRi. “That bothers us a lot. As much as you guys have egos, our egos are a little bigger. We’re just a lot better at hiding them.”
She also reminisced about being kicked off a farmer’s field in Ireland for showing too much skin while shooting the video for “We Found Love.” “I’m just gonna blame the director, Melina,” she joked. “We’re both crazy and that’s why we work so well together, but we have no way of reeling each other in. We just got for it all the way.”
And while it may look like she’s enjoying the single life, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. “The single life is so overrated,” she said. “You don’t want to live your life and then meet someone. You want to share your life with someone, and I feel like that’s what I’m missing right now.”
And what does RiRi look for in a guy? “I’d love to date somebody cool, fun, funny.”
Plus, she taught her wise-cracking host how to speak in a Bajan accent before taking the stage to perform her new single “Talk That Talk” for the first time on television."
