Coming Attractions: Nike LeBron 9 Low “Mint”
"The Nike LeBron 9 Low in “Mint” colorway will be part of Nike’s 2012 “Easter Pack.” Taking the very popular LeBron 9 silhouette and bringing down to a low, makes the shoe seem even more like its built for spring. Nike has layered gray over the very dope looking mint candy/new green colorway, to give the shoe an nice pop. The combination of colors on these make definitely these bangers for the season.
Look for these to be hitting the web and stores on April 6th."

SOURCE Lil Boosie To Face Anonymous Jury In Murder Trial. D.A. Will Not Seek The Death Penalty
"When Lil Boosie's murder trial begins April 30th it will have Louisiana's first anonymous jury since 1987.
Boosie, real name Torrance Hatch is already serving an eight-year sentence after pleading guilty to trying to smuggle drugs into two seperate Louisiana prisons. He stands accused of hiring Michael Louding aka Marlo Mike to kill 35-year old Terry Boyd in October 2009.
Louding, 18, and Adrian Pittman, 37, also are charged with first-degree murder in Boyd's death.
East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III said it was his idea to have an anonymous jury due to the high profile nature of the case.
"It's just something we thought would be better for the case and the jurors," Moore told KATC.com.
Jurors will be identified by numbers and will not have their name made public.
Boosie's lawyers don't see the need for such safety measures
"There's no evidence of any threats against any potential jurors in this case," said Boosie attorney Martin Regan. "We want to get a fair jury."
Moore added that his office is not seeking the death penalty against Hatch, meaning he would be sentenced to life in prison if convicted as charged."
SOURCE Drake Hints at Posthumous Aaliyah Collaboration
"Drake has never been shy about his love for Aaliyah. The “Take Care” rapper has tattooed the late singer’s face on his back and sampled her song on his debut Thank Me Later. While he never got a chance to work with her while she was alive, he revealed that a posthumous collaboration may be in the works.
“I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon. Some special things,” the 25-year-old told Tim Westwood.
When asked if it had to do with a rumored posthumous project of her unreleased recordings, he remained coy. “Just some special things, you know. Great things for music, period.”
Drizzy shared his admiration for the “Try Again” songstress, who passed away at the age of 22. “I think more than anything Aaliyah always made music that was never uncomfortable for me to listen to,” he explained.
“You know it’s hard for me to ride around to a female singer because at the end of the day, you’re a man, but she always kept it so G with the writing and the melodies. It was something to ride to, especially when it was chopped and crewed. That’s when I used to love Aaliyah the most.”"

SOURCENicki Minaj Performs ‘Starships’ on ‘American Idol’
"Nicki Minaj crashed “American Idol” in her pink spaceship on Thursday’s results show. Dressed in a mermaid-inspired outfit and curly blonde wig, the captain of the Barbz activated her super powers while performing her RedOne-produced smash “Starships” for the first time on television.
Following her playful performance, the Young Money diva expressed her desire to come back and guest judge the contestants. “J.Lo, can you scoot over a little bit and let me get up there?” she asked Jennifer Lopez, who jokingly told her, “I don’t know if there’s room for both of us up here.”
Nicki has a busy week ahead as she gets ready to launch her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in stores Tuesday. She will appear at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards and perform April 6 on the “Today” show."
SOURCEReview: Wiz Khalifa's "Taylor Allderdice" Mixtape
"Wiz Khalifa treads familiar ground with “Taylor Allderdice”.
There's a certain dilemma rappers face when they finally break out of the underground, releasing mixtape after mixtape (which provides them with no financial compensation): how do you expand your newfound fanbase without neglecting the loyal supporters who were there with you from the beginning? Such was the problem that graced Pittsburgh stoner Wiz Khalifa, whose 2010 mixtape Kush N Orange Juice brought him to a whole new level in hip hop – the mainstream – and that was before he even released the Billboard topping “Black N Yellow.”
As a result of his newly acquired mainstream status, Wiz fans felt deceived by the new direction he was heading in with his studio debut for Atlantic, Rolling Papers. Though the album provided some of his most accessible records (“The Race,” “Star Of The Show”), it ultimately lead fans and critics alike to deem it “pop-rap.” It seemed that the weed-obsessed rapper had sold out.
Now, a full year after his debut, not to mention a collaborative LP with fellow pot enthusiast Snoop Dogg, Wiz is back with what he's claimed is a return to the underground, an endowment to those who felt betrayed by him, with a free mixtape named after his high school, Taylor Allderdice. Obviously, he's not trying to be subtle here; this is a return to his roots.
The content on Taylor Allderdice is far from surprising – which may be the album's biggest woe – having to do with weed, smoking weed, rolling weed, and smoking weed. Did I mention that all ready? Mind you, this isn't necessarily a problem, as much as it is redundant and excessive. Wiz hasn't changed much since before his fame; now he just mentions his model wife-to-be Amber Rose (who sings the chorus on “Never Been Pt II”), and the fact that now he just happens to be filthy fucking rich. Alongside Wiz's financial success, he's also able to afford rappers outside Chevy Woods and Smoke DZA: Juicy J (who has literally been everywhere recently, from producing for Hodgy beats to appearing on a track with A-Trak and Danny Brown) appears thrice, and so does Rick Ross.
The beat selection here is diverse and it sounds tight; there's a Deadmau5 sample on “O.N.I.F.C.,” A$AP affiliate Spaceghostpurrp furnishes customary cloud rap with “T.A.P.,” Lex Luger rolls in with another tear-shit-down anthem. But like any musician whose found success and fame, the stakes are higher now, the criticisms harsher, and the expectations greater. Despite the beats, the lyrical content is also going to be analyzed. As such, when it comes down to it, Taylor Allderdice is just another rap album to get stoned to. Yes, it is neither a fully enjoyable listen, nor is it a “bad” album; songs like “Nameless” and “Blindfolds” likely to be heard blasted via Cadillac speakers this summer.
Having said that, in a contemporary hip hop scene that includes trailblazers like Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky, Taylor more or less keeps in stride with what we've come to expect. Rapping about weed is great and all, and fans will definitely cherish and promote this tape, but being a musician in the public eye also merits growth and innovation. Taylor Allderdice may be a return to his mixtape days, before “Black N Yellow,” before he became pop-rap, and as this was obviously Wiz's aspiration, he has indeed triumphed. It's just not a game-changer. Again, that's fine and all, and Taylor is not an unimpressive record by any means. Just for anyone who first put on Section 80 and thought, damn this is a new stage in rap music; don't expect the same thoughts to wash over you when you listen to Taylor Allderdice. Not to say that this is at all what Wiz Khalifa was striving for, and that is totally acceptable. "

Drake Talks About Third Album
"Drake discusses working on his third album and more while out in London.
Drake did several interviews while out in the UK for the Club Paradise tour, and today we get one with KISS FM.
Drake discusses his third album, which he says he would like Jamie XX, who produced "Take Care," to have a big part in. He also talks on his crowd becoming world wide, chilling with Rihanna and more.
"I’m just sort of at that place where I’m collecting beats. I recently did some work with 2 Chainz, he’s an incredible artist from the U.S. that’s buzzing right now," Drizzy said. "But aside from that, I’m just collecting beats. I’m actually supposed to go see Jamie xx tonight so we can take it a step further. I really want him to have a big presence on this next album. 40 is back home working on an incredible project. I can’t wait to get back there and work with him. So yeah, it’s really more about building a canvas and we’ll start right."
He also talks about guys relating to him and why that is,
"Well, I think that, you know, one of the best parts about my career, is like, you know, I don't have to wake up in the morning and say to myself I gotta remember to talk like this or act like this 'cause I'm playing a character," Drake continued, "I get to wake up and be myself.""

SOURCEMagic Johnson Part Of Group Buying L.A. Dodgers For Record $2 Billion
"The Los Angeles Dodgers, financially bedridden by the shaky stewardship of Frank McCourt, leaped out of their hospital bed Tuesday night, and are doing cartwheels out the front door today.
The Dodgers finally are on the verge of a new owner. A magical owner. A man who can instantly restore the credibility bridge that had been torched between a proud franchise and its fans.
A group led by former Los Angeles Lakers star Magic Johnson -- along with MLB and NBA executive Stan Kasten, and Peter Guber, head of Mandalay Entertainment, and financed by Mark Walter, CEO of Guggenheim Partners (a Chicago-based financial services firm) -- agreed to buy the Dodgers from owner Frank McCourt for $2.15 billion, a deal that includes the Chavez Ravine parking lots.
The deal came swiftly after MLB approved the three finalists Tuesday, and if the cash deal is approved by the judge overseeing the Dodgers' bankruptcy, the price will easily be the most ever paid for a professional sports team. The record is the $1.4 billion purchase price for the Manchester United soccer team, and the most paid for a North American sports franchise was $1.15 billion in 2009 for the Miami Dolphins. It was just four years ago when the Chicago Cubs was the most paid for a baseball franchise at $845 million.
No wonder MLB executives are holding their breath and hoping there are no poison pills in the deal; once it goes through, everybody's franchise value just went soaring.
The only guy happier than McCourt, who paid $430 million for his team in 2004, was Mets owner Fred Wilpon. His troubled franchise is now worth a whole lot more than a day ago.
Now, with New York hedge fund king Steve Cohen losing out in his bid along with St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke, Cohen could step in and offer a deal that Wilpon can't resist.
And perhaps no one is kicking themselves more than Jamie McCourt, who must be paid $131 million by April 30 in the divorce with her ex-husband. If she knew that her ex would get this kind of money for the Dodgers, she sure would have asked for a whole lot more dough.
The Johnson-Kasten group must now close the deal by April 30, explain why McCourt still will have a say in their joint venture on the parking lots on non-game days, and perhaps divulge whether Fox TV or Time Warner has agreed to have an investment stake in exchange for local broadcast rights.
Cohen had the top bid just a week ago at $1.6 billion, which included the parking lots, and suddenly, his offer was blown away by a staggering bid, one which had top MLB officials scratching their heads.
In the meantime, the Dodgers are celebrating, with their biggest star, Matt Kemp, tweeting: "Good day 4 the @dodgers! The great @magicjohnson is the new owner!! Let's start a dynasty baby!!''
Well, let's start paying a few bills first, pour in $250 million to $300 million to upgrade the decaying 50-year stadium, and then worry about j****** up their payroll.
It's too late for the new ownership group, with Kasten becoming president of the team, to do anything about this year's roster. The free agents are gone. The team is set. And their biggest impact will be made at the trade deadline where they likely would be able to afford anyone, particularly with a monstrous TV deal coming their way.
This, after all, is what the deal is all about.
Magic and Kasten and their financial group don't buy this team if the Dodgers still are locked into an outdated TV contract. If the Lakers are worth $4 billion to Time Warner, what in the world could the Dodgers bring with twice as many games?
Yet, before Dodger fans envision George Steinbrenner in their heads, buying every free agent in their land, this group likely will be financially responsible. Check out Kasten's record. He used to be president of the Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves. They never spent wildly on a free agent under his watch.
And Magic didn't become a rich man because of his basketball skills. He's wealthy because of his business sense. And you don't lend your name, a few bucks and most important your reputation, if you don't plan on turning a profit.
Let's put it this way, Magic didn't jump into this business venture because of his love for the Dodgers. It's not like he's spotted at Dodger Stadium as often as, say, Kemp might be spotted courtside at Staples Center.
Yet, it's his name that has Dodger fans rejoicing in LA today, and the Dodger players lining up to at least get a few autographs.
The Dodger front office is excited for the stability, but understandably, wary. They have no ties to Kasten. Kasten has no ties to them. General manager Ned Colletti and his front office, along with general manager Don Mattingly have one year to prove themselves.
That's not a bad thing because this is a talented team that suddenly has no excuses. The Dodgers have drawn rave reviews from scouts all spring, and should be a contender in the NL West. If they fall short, and aren't in the race in September, heads could roll, with Colletti in the final year of his contact, anyways.
Kasten will be calling the shots, not Magic. He was president of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks in the NBA and even the NHL Atlanta Thrashers. He was the one who hired Bobby Cox and John Schuerholz, and turned a downtrodden Braves' franchise into a dynasty, winning 14 consecutive division titles. He resigned from his three president jobs in 2003, became the Nationals' president in 2006, and resigned again after the 2010 season searching for the ideal opportunity.
Kasten found it.
He will focus on player development, not free agency. He will stress continuity, not splashy headlines. And he will demand perfection.
Money will not be a problem, but the ownership group certainly won't use it to magically cure their woes.
First, it's time to restore the team's legacy, reconnecting with their abused fans, and resurrecting the franchise's legacy.
This is a start, and for $2 billion, a new chapter is beginning in Los Angeles.
The turmoil is finally over.
Finally, the Dodgers can focus on baseball again."

T.I. spoke to XXL about his next single and gave some details on it.
T.I. say his next single, "Love This Life," is "speaking to woman, but from a man’s perspective. And go where?’ That’s what he is sayin’, the gentleman is sayin'," Tip continues,
"I know there’s a lot of guys out there who find themselves in positions on all levels of life, not just as a rich man, but you have people who treat a woman the way she wants to be treated. There aren’t a lot of men out there who can offer that same kind of security, affection and protection; that will be kind of the song."

Record Exec Damon Dash Sued for Allegedly Selling Music He Didn't Have Rights To
"Rapper Curren$y's music is NOT to be trifled with -- and to prove it ... the MC is suing famed music producer Damon Dash, claiming he is hocking several Curren$y albums without permission.
Curren$y filed the lawsuit against Jay-Z's old biz partner and former co-owner of Roc-A-Fella Records -- claiming he and Dash tried to negotiate an agreement to release music together in 2010 ... but the deal never materialized.
Curren$y claims Dash released two of his albums in 2010 -- but the two still couldn't reach an agreement ... so Curren$y signed with Warner Bros. in January 2011.
But according to the lawsuit, Damon was unmoved -- and CONTINUED to release Curren$y's music despite the new WB contract, which gave WB exclusive rights to Curren$y's jams.
Now, Curren$y is demanding the producer quit profiting off him in any way. Curren$y also wants $1.5 million in damages.
But Damon fired back at the accusations with his own response -- claiming, he has the right to release the albums in question because he was given permission. What's more -- Damon says Curren$y stabbed him in the back, reneging on his agreement with Damon and signing with WB instead.
A judge has yet to rule on the case. "

Willow Smith Lights Up L.A. with Yellow Hair
"Willow Smith brought some sunshine to Los Angeles. The 11-year-old “Fireball” debuted her latest look, a bright yellow dome to match her cheery mood. The pint-sized fashionista has been playing around with her hair, previously coloring it blonde and green. She was all smiles as she and a pal held hands and strolled through The Grove shopping center on Saturday, rocking a black hat, red hoodie, and Louis Vuitton purse."

Whitney Houston's Official Cause Of Death Revealed
"More than a month after her passing, Whitney Houston's official cause of death has been revealed.
The Los Angeles County coroner's office has determined the official cause of Houston's death was "drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."
It has been reported that her death was ruled an accident. Whitney Houston was found in a bathtub in her Beverly Hills hotel room on February 11th. Although the coroner's office has ruled it an accident, the toxicology report adds, "Cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death. Marijuana, Alprazolam (Xanax), Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were identified but did not contribute to the death."
Prescription pill bottles were found in Houston's room after her passing, but officials say the number of pills were, "not in alarming amounts.""

Is the CIA in your kitchen? Judge Napolitano
Relying on the Patriot Act, federal agents have written their own search warrants just like the British soldiers did. They have done this more than 250,000 times since 2001. But the government has rarely used any evidence from these warrants in a criminal prosecution for fear that the targeted person would learn of the government's unconstitutional and nefarious behavior, and for fear that the act would be invalidated by federal courts.
Now, back to the CIA in your kitchen. When Congress created the CIA in 1947, it expressly prohibited the agency from spying on Americans in America. Nevertheless, it turns out that if your microwave, burglar alarm or dishwasher is of very recent vintage, and if it is connected to your personal computer, a CIA spy can tell when you are in the kitchen and when you are using that device. The person who revealed this last weekend also revealed that CIA software can learn your habits from all of this and then anticipate them. Acting "diabolically" and hoping to "change fingerprints and eyeballs" in its "worldwide mission" to steal and keep secrets, the CIA can then gut the Fourth Amendment digitally, without ever physically entering anyone's home. We already know that your BlackBerry or iPhone can tell a spy where you are and, when the battery is connected, what you are saying. But spies in the kitchen? Can this be true? Who revealed all this last weekend? None other than Gen. David Petraeus himself, President Obama's new director of the CIA. I wonder whether he knows about the Fourth Amendment and how the Supreme Court has interpreted it and that federal laws prohibit his spies from doing their work in America. I wonder whether he or the president even cares.
Do you?

Nicki Minaj Busts Out in Japan in Popcorn Dress
"Nicki Minaj got it poppin’ during her visit to Japan this week. While promoting Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in the land of Harajuku Barbies, the fashion chameleon modeled a pink wig and dress inspired by a popcorn box, with actual popcorn sticking out at the top.
Nicki, who inked a multi-million dollar deal to star in Pepsi’s “Pop” campaign, knocked out some interviews and met up with her Japanese Barbz, some of who mimicked her look. “I’m staying forever,” she tweeted.
She will return to the U.S. to perform on the “Today” show on April 6, three days after the release of her sophomore album."
