Today is voting day in the recall elections for two of Wisconsin's Democrat senators who decided to flee the state rather than stay and do their jobs. These people abandoned their post. They were paid to do a job and they fled. They are being paid, by the way, by all of the residents of Wisconsin, not just the Democrats. So when they do something so base and partisan as to flee the state so that a quorum cannot be called when there is a vote scheduled, they are NOT acting as state senators, but rather party hacks. I think these senators should not only be recalled, but should be forced to pay back the portion of their salaries that was paid by the Republican and Independent voters of Wisconsin.
Democratic Sen. Bob Wirch runs today against challenger Jonathan Steitz, a corporate attorney, in the Kenosha-area 22nd Senate District. Democratic Sen. Jim Holperin runs against Kim Simac, a tea party activist, in the 12th Senate District, located in the north.
Now get out and VOTE!
